Loveless Tri-State Insurance was founded in Dubuque, Iowa in 1999 by Mike & Cheri Loveless.

For twenty years, Mike & Cheri worked together building their book of business into a thriving agency that served friends, families & neighbors of their community. In 2020, their daughter Morgan Lansing joined the agency with at that time, fifteen years experience in the insurance industry. Her joining was planned following a terminal diagnosis of Cheri, to work with both Mike & Cheri and learn their beloved clients & book of business planning for the day that Morgan would partner with her Dad, Mike, to continue the business. Cheri passed away April of 2021, and missed dearly by her family, and insurance family.
Mike & Morgan continued the business as partners, and enjoyed working together and the continuation of a thriving agency continuing to grow. It’s hard to believe how quickly three years has passed, and within that time also began planning for Mike’s retirement. Retire he did, January of 2024. Morgan, and Mike planned continued growth in the decision to merge Loveless Tri-State Insurance with Kunkel and Associates also in January of 2024. Kunkel’s professionalism, administrative support, and access to expanded markets felt just right as Morgan stepped forward to continue on the business.
